Lake Ralph Hall Mitigation
EPR was the stream mitigation design lead and permitting specialist for the Lake Ralph Hall Reservoir in Fannin County, Texas, one of the largest stream mitigation projects in the US. EPR was contracted to evaluate potential mitigation properties for the Client; select areas appropriate for mitigation; work closely with regulatory agencies to ensure an adequate mitigation plan for permitted activities; perform detailed site assessments; and develop detailed design plans for securing permits and an approved mitigation plan. As part of this high-profile project, EPR assessed over 300,000 (57 miles) linear feet of streams and developed restoration and enhancement designs for over 280,000 linear feet (53 miles) of stream channel on approximately 40 different tributary channels. EPR’s work resulted in an approved mitigation plan and permit for the project. EPR is currently working as the Client’s representative to oversee the implementation of the permitted mitigation work.
